Under private ownership, this elegant and comfortable five-storey Victorian townhouse was designed by John Chessar between 1875 and 1880. Firmly established over twenty years, the hotel was refurbished and redecorated recently to its present high standard and retains many original features which add to its character.Whether for business, shopping or relaxation, a warm welcome is always guaranteed. Some of our rooms are on the top (3rd) floor and offer views across the city, however we do not have a lift. If you would prefer a room on a lower floor, please request it at the time of booking and we will try and arrange it.

Getting there
From the airport, take the A8 towards the city centre. Pass the city Zoo on the left, and after approx 1 3/4 turn left past Donaldson's college. Take first right into Eglinton Cres. From Haymarket Station, turn left at the exit, then 2nd right into Coates Gardens. Turn left at the top into Eglinton Cres. On-street parking is available free of charge between the hours of 18.30 and 08.30 Monday to Saturday. Outwith these times, parking is available nearby at a cost of approx 6 per day.
